The 7^th Mercedes-Benz Fascination Motor Show officially opened on 5^th July 2017 at Vietxo Cultural Palace, Hanoi. This year, the “Three-pointed star” brings up to 40 vehicles to the show, including 24 cars for display and 15 cars for test-drive, with the total value of 150 billion VND, together with impressive performances under the theme of “The Journey”. The event is open for public from 6^th – 9^th July, from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm every day. Fascination 2017 is expected to welcome more than 12.000 visitors.

Enhancing customer experience is the key strategy of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) in 2017. At the 7^th Fascination, MBV demonstrates a journey where Mercedes-Benz accompanies a customer from the very first day to the most emotional moment experiencing the vehicles for its. To embark on this journey, MBV showcases 40 different vehicles for customers to approach. 50^th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG: more emotion in the homeland of Affalterbach

Behind the three letters AMG lie a story of passion and victories in motorsport. AMG stands for Hans Werner Aufrecht (A), Erhard Melcher (M), two co-founders, and Grobaspach (G) in Germany - Aufrecht's birthplace. In 1960, Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher worked on the racing engine of the 300 SE at Daimler R&D department. Then, Daimler halted all motorsport activities. However, the two engineers continued improving the performance of the engine at Aufrecht’s garage in Großaspach. In 1965, Manfred Schiek, one of their colleagues at Daimler, attended the German Touring Car Championship with the 300 SE using the engine that they developed, and won 10 races! It was Manfred Schiek's success that motivated them to establish the AMG in 1967 and continued nurturing their passion.

Gradually, AMG has been famous for upgrading the engine and performance of Mercedes-Benz cars. AMG had step-by-step integrated into the Daimler AG, and it was not until 2005 that Mercedes-AMG Großaspach officially became a high-performance brand in Mercedes-Benz line-up. Mercedes-AMG became the spearhead in researching hi-performance engine, performance, materials, then testing in motorsport and applying in mass-production vehicles.

Since 2012, AMG has started participating in the Formula 1 under the official name MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS. Within 3 years, the success came to the German team. MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS won 3 consecutive Constructor Championship (2014, 2015, 2016) and 3 Driver Championship with 1 for Nico Rosberg & 2 for Lewis Hamilton. Together with the throne on the track, Mercedes-AMG is also the best-selling high-performance brand in the world. In 2016, there were 99 235 Mercedes-AMG vehicles delivered to customers, an increase of over 44% compared to 2015.
